GeneSYS Informatica, the digital subsidiary of Fratelli Cosulich Group, has successfully acquired a 51 percent share in Navimeteo, a firm recognized for its specialized services in weather and oceanographic information tailored for maritime operations.

Founded in 1991 and based in Chiavari, Italy, Navimeteo specializes in crucial services like weather routing, forecasting, and risk assessments for various maritime sectors, including commercial shipping and cruise lines.

Matteo Cosulich, the company’s vice president and head of digital activities, emphasized that the acquisition fortifies shared visions and aligns with the group’s 30th anniversary in information technology. He expressed confidence in Navimeteo’s unique expertise, which will complement GeneSYS’s history of providing bespoke solutions for logistics and shipping.
