ACL’s American Encore Set to Launch Columbia and Snake River Cruises in 2026
American Cruise Lines (ACL) has announced that its new riverboat, American Encore, is set to launch in May 2026, embarking on its inaugural season along the Columbia and Snake Rivers. This vessel is part of ACL’s next generation of USA-built riverboats and has been designed with a focus on spaciousness and modern amenities, offering a unique cruising experience akin to that of small ships or yachts.
The American Encore will accommodate up to 180 guests across five decks, with all staterooms featuring private balconies. A standout feature is its four-story glass atrium, which is intended to flood the public areas with natural light.
Moreover, the ship will introduce a new category of accommodation named the Signature Suite, boasting over 1,000 square feet of space. This suite will include a wraparound balcony, separate living and sleeping areas, and a luxurious bathroom with a soaking tub and heated floors.
Onboard facilities will include a formal dining room, a casual café, multiple lounges, an outdoor walking track, a large fitness center, and self-service laundry facilities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable voyage.
The American Encore is the latest addition to ACL’s Modern American Riverboat series, which began with the American Song in 2018. Following its debut, ACL plans to launch two additional sister ships, American Anthem and American Grace, in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
Further details regarding the christening of the American Encore and its inaugural nine-day itinerary will be announced prior to its operations. Bookings for the American Encore and other recent fleet additions are currently being accepted through the 2028 season.
