HAL-Holland America Line Unveils Winter 2027–2028 Fleet Deployment Schedules
HAL-Holland America Line has unveiled its fleet deployment schedules for the winter 2027–2028 season, featuring nearly three dozen voyages across various destinations such as Hawaii, Mexico, the Pacific Coast, and the Panama Canal. The itinerary includes extended overnight stays in Honolulu and enhanced time in the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.
Four ships—Koningsdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, and Zaandam—will operate these voyages from October 2027 to April 2028, departing from five different North American homeports. The itineraries are designed to offer diverse experiences, ranging from tropical island journeys to extensive transits through Central America.
In Hawaii, the schedule includes longer stays in Honolulu and visits to scenic spots like volcanic parks and unique black-sand beaches. Travelers can choose from multiple departure dates for 17- and 18-day Circular Hawaii voyages, which will include calls at Nawiliwili, Honolulu, Kahului, Kona, and Hilo. Some options extend the Honolulu visit to as much as 40 hours and include additional port stops in Mexico, such as Ensenada.
For those interested in the Panama Canal, HAL offers 14 to 22-day itineraries that feature views of the canal’s engineering marvels, including Gatun Lake and the Pedro Miguel and Miraflores Locks. Excursions will allow guests to visit UNESCO World Heritage sites and explore wildlife reserves, archaeological locations, and coastal communities in Central America. Embarkation points include Fort Lauderdale, Miami, San Diego, Seattle, and Vancouver.
Cruises along the west coast of Mexico will vary in length from 5 to 12 days, focusing on destinations such as Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, Cabo San Lucas, and more. Additionally, Pacific Coast sailings will last between 1 to 7 days, including trips through the Great Bear Rainforest from Vancouver in 2028. For new cruisers, a special one-day sailing aboard Eurodam from Seattle to Vancouver is scheduled for October 2, 2027.
This comprehensive deployment plan reflects HAL’s commitment to providing a broad selection of appealing options to cater to varying passenger preferences for the upcoming winter season.
