Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady Sets Sail from Los Angeles and Seattle: A New Era of Cruising Begins!
Virgin Voyages has announced the inaugural deployment of its new ship, the Brilliant Lady, to the Pacific seaboard, with services starting in April 2026. The ship will operate from the homeports of Los Angeles and Seattle, marking the first extended West Coast season for the cruise line.
Brilliant Lady will be hosting two unique “MerMaiden” voyages designed to explore new port calls and enhance the adult-focused cruising experience. The first voyage sets sail from Los Angeles on April 7th and lasts five nights, making stops in Santa Barbara, San Diego, and Ensenada, Mexico. This voyage is themed around Southern Californian and Mexican coastal cultures, featuring dining, entertainment, and events that reflect local influences, consciously avoiding typical mass tourism offerings.
Following the Los Angeles sailing, the ship will reposition to Seattle for its second MerMaiden voyage from May 21st to 28th. This seven-night cruise will navigate through the Inside Passage, visiting Ketchikan, Sitka, Tracy Arm Fjord, and Prince Rupert in British Columbia. This itinerary prioritizes scenic immersion and offers opportunities for customized shore excursions, appealing to a clientele seeking a more exclusive cruising experience without the distractions often found on family-oriented cruises.
Both voyages will showcase new Pacific destinations, tailored shore experiences, and refreshment of shipboard amenities. All-inclusive fare will cover dining, communication services, fitness classes, entertainment, and selected beverages.
