Paul Gauguin Cruises Unveils Exciting 2028 Itinerary Under PONANT Ownership

Paul Gauguin Cruises, a subsidiary of PONANT, has unveiled its 2028 itinerary program comprising 39 all-inclusive sailings ranging from 7 to 14 nights, now open for booking. The planned routes traverse beautiful locations such as the Society Islands, Tuamotus, Marquesas, and Cook Islands in the South Pacific, with fares starting approximately at US$2,880 per passenger and offering discounts of up to 30%.

The expeditions will be conducted on the m/s Paul Gauguin, a ship specifically crafted with a shallow draft to enable access to smaller islands and atolls that are not reachable by larger vessels. Selected voyages will offer overnight stays, including a two-day stop at the breathtaking coral atoll of Fakarava and unique experiences at Tahuata, the smallest inhabited island in the Marquesas.

Samuel Chamberlain, CEO Americas of Ponant Explorations Group, emphasized that the 2028 program is tailored for those looking to connect deeply with local cultures and respect the environment, acknowledging the spiritual essence referred to as mana by the locals. Every aspect of the itinerary, from port calls to onboard programs, reflects nearly thirty years of experience and established relationships with indigenous communities. The range of cruise lengths caters to various traveler preferences.

The m/s Paul Gauguin accommodates up to 330 guests, providing a balance of refined ambiance and comfort, with a crew-to-guest ratio of about 1:1.5 ensuring personalized service. Over seventy percent of the accommodations include private balconies, and the ship’s programming showcases Polynesian culture through music, storytelling, and activities led by Les Gauguines, a group of Tahitian hosts.

The itinerary includes a 7-night journey among the Society Islands with three overnight stays, stopping at destinations like Tahiti, Huahine, Taha’a, Bora Bora, and Moorea. An alternative 7-night route highlights sacred Raiatea and the lush landscapes of Huahine, culminating in a night near the peaks of Bora Bora.

Longer voyages will extend the explorations into the Tuamotus, offering 10 to 11-night options that include the lagoons of Fakarava and Rangiroa, combined with the cultural treasures of the Society Islands. The most extensive 14-night voyage connects the Marquesas, Tuamotus, and Society Islands, providing ample time to enjoy the scenic beaches and engage in a variety of activities, both relaxing and adventurous.
