The luxury superyacht Emerald Kaia has set sail from Halong Bay, Vietnam, beginning her journey to Europe for the 2026 season. She is expected to make her debut in April 2026, with a naming ceremony scheduled for Venice in June.
This 128-passenger yacht has successfully completed sea trials, demonstrating its performance and seaworthiness before being delivered to the Scenic Group as part of the Emerald fleet. Following maritime tradition, two long-serving executives from the company have been designated as godparents for the vessel, reflecting their contributions during the company’s 40 years of operation. Their role includes participating in the christening ceremony, which involves naming the yacht and wishing her safe travels.
Emerald Kaia boasts a boutique configuration that focuses on open deck spaces, high observation points, and wellness facilities, adhering to the unique attributes of modern yacht cruising. After her Mediterranean debut, her first voyage will be an 11-day cruise from Cyprus to Greece in early April. Future itineraries will include transits through the Red Sea and the Suez Canal, with winter operations anticipated in the Indian Ocean and East Africa, including options for land-based safari experiences.
Emerald Kaia is part of an expanding fleet of luxury vessels, with more sister ships expected to be added in the coming years, solidifying the operator’s footprint in the small-ship, high-end cruising sector.
