Celebrity Solstice Set to Sail Again After Major Refurbishment

Celebrity Cruises has reintroduced the Celebrity Solstice to service following a comprehensive drydock refit and refurbishment. The ship departed from Singapore on March 2, 2026, unveiling several new venues and structural improvements as part of the company’s overall modernization plan for its Solstice class fleet.

Key additions to the ship include eight new public space concepts, four of which are brand new to the fleet: Trattoria Rossa, Sunset Park, The Parlor, and Boulevard Lounge. The vessel has also undergone a full refurbishment of all existing staterooms, adding 54 new cabins and introducing four new accommodation categories, bringing the total to 1,479 staterooms.

Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, emphasized that the renovation honors the legacy of the Celebrity Solstice, which originally set the standard for the Solstice Series. The new offerings have been tailored to meet evolving guest preferences while upholding the high hospitality standards the company is known for.

Following deployments in Asia and Australia, Celebrity Solstice will launch its Alaska season in the summer of 2026. It is set for a 110-night Grand Voyage on September 13, 2026, visiting more than 55 unique ports across Alaska, the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, with a finale in Hong Kong on New Year’s Eve.

Among the highlighted enhancements is Sunset Park, an open-air venue on the top deck designed for outdoor activities, including yoga, lawn games, and live music, with adjacent private cabanas and a café for casual dining. Two new dining venues introduced include Trattoria Rossa, offering Roman and Southern Italian dishes, and Fine Cut Steakhouse, featuring dry-aged beef and seafood in a formal setting.

Entertainment options have expanded with the addition of Boulevard Lounge, which can accommodate 125 guests for piano performances, karaoke, and games, as well as The Parlor, a sports lounge with billiards and darts. The ship’s main theatre now features two new production shows: "Smoke and Ivories" and "Rockumentary," along with smaller candlelit concerts in various venues.

All staterooms have been modernized, and four new categories have been introduced, including the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite. The Retreat, the suite enclave, has a newly redesigned sundeck and updated facilities. AquaClass staterooms incorporate spa-oriented features and maintain exclusive access to the Blu restaurant and the Persian Garden thermal suite.

Improvements have also been made to established venues such as Café Al Bacio and the Fitness Center. The refurbishments position Celebrity Solstice for a broader international sailing program, aligning its infrastructure and amenities with the current fleet standards.
