Scenic Group Unveils New 4-Tier Pricing Structure for River and Yacht Cruises
Scenic Group is set to implement a new pricing model for its river and yacht cruises starting in 2026. This updated structure aims to enhance fare selection simplicity and clarity for travelers planning journeys in various regions, including Europe and the Americas.
Replacing the previous bundled pricing system, the new four-tier model offers a transparent view of included fare elements and booking conditions. It allows travelers to make choices based on their individual priorities, such as flexibility, early savings, or added travel benefits.
The tiers are as follows:
-
Full Fare: This option offers the highest flexibility, including standard cruise inclusions like dining, onboard entertainment, and guided shore excursions. Passengers can confirm their travel plans closer to departure without prior payment commitments.
-
Select Fare: Designed for early planners, this option provides a discount of up to 15% on the base fare along with a structured payment plan that facilitates advance preparation.
-
Preferred Fare: This tier combines the Select options with additional perks, such as flight credits or reduced airfare on certain itineraries. It necessitates earlier payment confirmation compared to the Select structure.
-
Preferred+: The top tier merges Preferred features with further discounts that could reach several hundred dollars, catering to travelers who are ready to confirm their plans well in advance for extra financial incentives and benefits.
Scenic Group created this new pricing model in response to a growing demand for clearer travel pricing. The structured format will enable travelers to directly compare fare levels and pick the option that best aligns with their preferences between flexibility, savings, and additional inclusions.
This pricing framework will be applicable across all of Scenic Group’s itineraries, which include European river cruises and luxury yacht trips in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. The move reflects an ongoing trend in the travel industry towards more simplified pricing and increased transparency. By delineating clearly defined tiers, Scenic Group aims to streamline the process for selecting and planning luxury cruise experiences ahead of the 2026 season.
