Embark on a Journey: Princess Cruises Unveils 115-Day 2028 World Cruise on Coral Princess
Princess Cruises has revealed details of its 2028 World Cruise, a remarkable 115-day journey aboard the Coral Princess. This voyage will traverse 49 destinations across 24 countries and five continents, with stops at 39 UNESCO World Heritage sites. The cruise is set to embark on January 3rd, 2028, with passengers able to depart from either Fort Lauderdale or Los Angeles.
Spanning approximately 36,000 nautical miles, the itinerary includes crossings of the Equator and the International Date Line, featuring a passage through the Panama Canal at the outset. The journey will take travelers to the Pacific, where highlights include visits to Hawaii, Samoa, and Fiji. Following this, the ship will dock in Australia and New Zealand, with scheduled stops in cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
The voyage will proceed to the Indian Ocean and stop at islands such as Mauritius and Réunion before reaching South Africa. An overnight stay is planned in Cape Town, alongside a first-time visit to Mossel Bay, known for its archaeological significance.
As the cruise makes its way north along Africa’s Atlantic coast, it will enter the Mediterranean, making port calls at Barcelona, cities in Sicily, and locales in the Adriatic including Dubrovnik. The itinerary also includes a visit to Casablanca before the ship returns across the Atlantic to North America.
The cruise line has designed the voyage to maximize time at each destination, allowing for deeper cultural experiences. Enhanced “More Ashore” opportunities will feature overnight stays in key locations, including Cape Town and Auckland, and ten late-night calls at ports like Barcelona, Dubrovnik, and Honolulu. These extended visits offer travelers the chance to explore cities beyond traditional daytime hours.
In addition to the enriched itinerary, optional wildlife excursions will be available during the South African segment, with visits to private game reserves such as Aquila and Pumba.
The shore excursion program will focus on cultural and natural attractions across all stops, such as the picturesque landscapes of Pacific islands and significant heritage sites in the Mediterranean. Onboard activities will include enrichment lectures, themed events, cultural performances, and culinary experiences inspired by the various regions visited.
For members of the Captain’s Circle loyalty program, additional onboard credit benefits will be part of the offering. Moreover, travelers can choose to partake in segment options that vary from approximately 20 to 100 days, providing flexibility for those who may want to experience only a portion of the grand voyage.
