A-ROSA Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Expanded Rhine and Danube Program
A-ROSA River Cruises is gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary during the 2027 season with an extensive enhancement of its river cruise offerings on the Rhine and Danube. The company will unveil an impressive lineup that includes 20 new itineraries, two fresh departure ports, and the introduction of southbound sailings for its flagship vessel, A-ROSA SENA.
The Rhine itineraries will see A-ROSA AQUA and A-ROSA SENA primarily departing from Duisburg, enabling northbound routes that facilitate longer stops in Dutch and Belgian cities while minimizing travel distances for guests. This shift also allows for attendance at the International Garden Exhibition 2027, scheduled from April to October 2027.
On the Danube, A-ROSA FLORA will shift its main departure point to Vienna. This strategic location allows for 5- and 7-night itineraries that spotlight major Danube capitals, along with extended trips of up to 16 nights continuing towards the river’s spectacular cataracts and delta. The new base is designed to shorten distances and attract more international travelers.
The 2027 season marks a notable first for A-ROSA SENA, which will operate southbound Rhine itineraries from Duisburg, visiting cities like Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Rüdesheim am Rhein, and Mainz. New itineraries including "Middle Rhine Valley, Vines & Lorelei" and "Rhine City Break in Winter" will showcase extended port stays at destinations previously unvisited by the ship.
Further developments will also touch other vessels within the A-ROSA fleet. A-ROSA CLEA is set to launch Moselle itineraries from Cologne and introduce a new 3-night cruise called the Rhineland Mini Cruise. Additionally, it will join A-ROSA SILVA to operate a new 7-night itinerary that highlights towns renowned for their historic timber-framed architecture and local cuisines.
For the Danube, A-ROSA DONNA will change the departure day of its popular 7-night Danube Classics itinerary to Saturdays, streamlining international travel connections for guests.
Alongside these changes, A-ROSA will revamp its fare structure starting with the 2027 season. The existing Premium fare will evolve into A-ROSA Premium All Inclusive, emphasizing onboard dining and entertainment experiences, including themed buffet evenings and a Wine & Dine experience.
Guests will still have the option to enhance their experience by upgrading to the Drinks Package Plus, which will offer a wider selection of beverages. This package will be available at a promotional early booking rate until late November 2026.
Bookings for these highlighted cruises opened in March 2026 through various travel agencies, online platforms, and the company’s service center, with special promotional fares offered for a limited time.
