Valiant Lady to Undergo Drydock Refurbishment in 2026 with Exciting New Indian Dining Venue
Virgin Voyages has revealed plans for a significant drydock refurbishment of the MS Valiant Lady, set to take place in May 2026. Scheduled for completion by May 25, 2026, the refurbishment will include essential maintenance alongside several enhancements to both operations and hospitality.
A highlight of the renovation will be a revamped dining experience at the existing Razzle Dazzle venue, which will be transformed into Ariya by Razzle Dazzle. This new dining space will emphasize Indian cuisine, developed through a partnership with Indie Culinaire and chef Maneet Chauhan. During breakfast and brunch hours, the venue will operate as Razzle Dazzle, while it will switch to Ariya in the evening, showcasing menus inspired by various regional Indian culinary traditions.
The new menu will offer a range of dishes, from modern street food to traditional slow-cooked specialties. Notable menu items will include lamb shank biryani, Goan-style curried mussels, and puffed rice and avocado chaat, along with a welcome beverage called jaljeera, made from tamarind and cumin. The dining area is expected to accommodate around 220 guests.
This initiative aligns with Virgin Voyages’ strategy of evolving the Razzle Dazzle concept across its ships; previous adaptations have seen similar transformations on Scarlet Lady and Brilliant Lady.
Further developments during the drydock period include the introduction of an updated Roundabout concept, which aims to enhance seating and improve viewing areas. Routine maintenance typical of drydock periods will also be conducted, ensuring that public spaces and passenger cabins are refreshed.
The refurbishment will occur at the Fincantieri shipyard in Palermo, the same facility that previously attended to the Scarlet Lady. Valiant Lady will restart its voyages on May 25, 2026, embarking on a six-night journey from Rome, visiting multiple destinations, including Salerno, Cannes, and Ibiza, before concluding in Barcelona.
