Royal Caribbean Launches ‘America’s Got Talent LIVE’ Experience Aboard the Legend of the Seas
RCI-Royal Caribbean is set to launch a new stage production, “America’s Got Talent LIVE,” aboard the Legend of the Seas in August 2026. This show marks the franchise’s debut as a headline attraction at sea, adapting the popular television format for a marine setting.
Scheduled to take place in the Royal Theater of the ship, “America’s Got Talent LIVE” will present a rotating lineup of talent from the broader Got Talent network, including magicians, musicians, acrobats, and aerial performers. While retaining the essence of the original format, the production is tailored to suit an international audience within the unique cruise environment.
Royal Caribbean sees this initiative as part of a strategic goal to diversify onboard entertainment, enhancing various performance venues such as theaters, aquatic theaters, and ice arenas. The new show aims to uphold the operator’s commitment to delivering visually compelling, large-scale entertainment that meets modern expectations for cruise experiences.
Fremantle, the production company behind the franchise, views this collaboration as an opportunity to expand the brand into a new context, introducing international acts to cruise-goers in a specially designed maritime venue.
In addition to “America’s Got Talent LIVE,” the Legend of the Seas will offer a wider entertainment program, which includes theatrical performances, aquatic shows in the AquaTheater, and ice shows in what is touted as the largest ice arena at sea.
The Legend of the Seas is slated to begin operations in the Mediterranean during the summer of 2026, with seven-night itineraries departing from Barcelona and Civitavecchia. The ship will then reposition to Fort Lauderdale in November for Caribbean voyages, featuring 6- and 8-night itineraries that will include stops at various ports across the Western and Southern Caribbean as well as visits to the company’s private destination in the Bahamas.
