Discover New Alaska Adventures: Princess Cruises Expands Its Offerings Across Eight Ships
Princess Cruises is enhancing its "North to Alaska" program for the 2026 season, introducing four new onboard experiences across all eight of its vessels that sail to Alaska. This expansion is part of the cruise line’s largest Alaska deployment, which includes 180 departures to 19 destinations.
Since its inception in 2015, the "North to Alaska" initiative has aimed to immerse passengers in the region’s culture, history, and natural beauty through various onboard activities and entertainment. The upcoming programming will be featured on ships including Star Princess, Coral Princess, Royal Princess, and others.
New features of the program include:
- Glacier Experience Day: A dedicated day for glacier-focused programming coinciding with scenic cruising. This includes live commentary and ranger-led presentations during Glacier Bay sailings.
- Welcome to Alaska Session: An introduction to onboard experts and itinerary highlights, held once per sailing.
- Après Sea Gatherings: Social events following shore excursions, offering drinks and stunning views in The Dome on the Star Princess.
- Candlelight Concert Series Expansion: Featuring performances by Alaska-based musicians, occurring twice per voyage.
In addition to these new experiences, Princess is enhancing its dining menu with Alaskan cuisine like king salmon and crab cakes. Existing activities such as lumberjack shows and sled dog presentations will continue.
