Set Sail in 2026: Star Clippers’ Enchanting Voyages Among the Greek Islands
For the 2026 season, Star Clippers is set to launch a new series of voyages in the Greek and Aegean seas aboard its tall sailing ship, Star Flyer. These sailings will begin and end at the homeport of Piraeus in Athens. Travelers have the opportunity to make reservations by April 30th, 2026, which includes a complimentary hotel stay in Athens, along with breakfast and a transfer to the ship. This offer is available exclusively to residents of North, Central, and South America.
Star Clippers’ unique vessels are equipped to sail under wind power, using their canvas sails instead of solely relying on engines. This design allows them to navigate smaller harbors inaccessible to larger cruise ships. The coming season will feature several itineraries, including a voyage to the Northern Cyclades, with departures on July 11th and August 1st. This route offers a week-long exploration of famed Aegean islands such as Mykonos, Amorgos, and Sifnos, with fares starting around US$2,410 per person.
Additionally, there are sailings to the Southern Cyclades set for July 18th and August 8th, which will take travelers to iconic locations like Santorini and Rhodes. Another itinerary, titled Sporades Highlights, targets the northern Aegean, setting sail on July 25th and August 15th, covering destinations such as Skiathos and Skopelos, with prices beginning at approximately US$2,410 per person as well.
Voyages will blend open-sea passages with visits to historic ports, allowing guests to enjoy local markets, swim in pristine waters, and explore towns with rich maritime histories. Evenings aboard the vessel typically feature relaxed open-deck dining and informal gatherings.
The promotion includes a hotel stay in Athens, allowing for more exploration of the Greek capital, and applies to limited sailings for new bookings made before April 2026. Star Clippers has been in the business of tall-ship voyages for over 30 years, providing travelers with unique sailing experiences around the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Central America. The fleet consists of three sailing vessels, each designed to accommodate a limited number of guests for a more intimate experience.
