Carnival Dream Makes a Splash in Galveston, TX After Impressive Dry Dock Refurbishment
Following a 16-day dry dock in Marseille, the Carnival Dream is back in service, resuming operations from Galveston, TX. The ship has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment that introduces several newly refreshed venues for passengers to enjoy.
Among the updates is the addition of a Dreams Studio, where guests can arrange for professional photography sessions. A new Carnival Adventures Store has been established, providing a dedicated area for booking shore excursions at various ports of call. Retail spaces have also seen updates, including enhancements to the Effy Jewelry boutique. Additionally, the ship’s casino has been redesigned, featuring a new layout and a dedicated host station aimed at elevating guest services.
After completing its time in the shipyard, the Carnival Dream commenced a Transatlantic crossing as part of a Journeys sailing from Barcelona. This itinerary features stops in Alicante, Málaga, and Gibraltar before heading back to Galveston on April 5th.
Once it returns to Texas, Carnival Dream will rejoin the local fleet alongside other vessels such as Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Legend. The ship is slated to offer short cruises to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean, with calls to Celebration Key, Carnival’s exclusive destination, marking its return to regular service after the recent European refurbishment and repositioning crossing.
