Swan Hellenic Unveils Exciting Antarctic Seasons for 2026-2028
Swan Hellenic has unveiled its Antarctic voyage schedule for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 seasons, following an impressive 2025-2026 season that saw a 53% surge in guest numbers and a staggering 66% increase in net revenue. CEO Andrea Zito expressed excitement over the season’s achievements and the positive outlook for the following years, attributing success to the enthusiasm of guests for genuine exploratory experiences available on their ice-class ships.
As of now, bookings for the 2026-2027 season already reach 65% of capacity, which is 20% higher than the same period last year. The upcoming season is set to feature 33 voyages, including 29 round-trip expeditions from Ushuaia spanning nine to 17 days and four grand voyages.
The 2027-2028 season will comprise 34 voyages, featuring 29 round-trip itineraries lasting nine to 18 days and four grand voyages as well. The SH Minerva and SH Vega, both Polar Class 5 ice-class vessels, are capable of navigating through ice conditions, maintaining a speed of about six knots in sea ice of 0.58 meters thick and brash ice measuring 1.2 meters.
During the 2025-2026 Antarctic season, Swan Hellenic clinched accolades at the Cruise Critic 2025 Best in Cruise Awards, winning Best Expedition Antarctica and Best Value Expedition Cruise Line for the third consecutive year. In March 2026, the SH Minerva also achieved a landmark milestone by reaching the furthest point south ever navigated by the company in the Antarctic Peninsula, venturing into the extreme reaches of George VI Sound.
