Royal Caribbean’s Hero OTS: Set for a Grand Debut in Miami in 2027
RCI-Royal Caribbean International has announced plans for its fourth Icon Class cruise ship, named Hero of the Seas, which will begin operations in August 2027 from Miami. This addition will join the existing fleet of Icon Class ships, including Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas, and Legend of the Seas, marking a significant expansion in Royal Caribbean’s cruise offerings designed for family and multigenerational trips.
Hero of the Seas is designed with a strong focus on catering to families, featuring eight unique neighborhoods and a wide range of recreational facilities. The ship will boast an unprecedented nine pools, surpassing any current cruise ship, and will incorporate an expanded waterpark with exhilarating slide attractions on the upper decks.
Guests can choose from 28 dining options, offering a variety of culinary experiences, from casual eateries to immersive themed locations. Accommodations are designed to accommodate extended family stays, including innovative multi-level family suites with integrated living areas and outdoor spaces.
Onboard activities will range from thrilling water attractions to high-energy sports facilities, continuing Royal Caribbean’s strategy of providing diverse entertainment options on Icon Class vessels.
Hero of the Seas will operate seven-night itineraries in the Caribbean, with journeys commencing in Miami and including stops at various destinations, including Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas.
