RMS Queen Mary 2 Makes a Grand Stop in Singapore During World Voyage 2026
Cunard’s RMS Queen Mary 2 made a notable stop in Singapore as part of her extensive 2026 World Voyage. After sailing for six days from Hong Kong and visiting several ports in Vietnam, the esteemed vessel docked in Singapore, where it kicked off a series of activities to celebrate its visit.
The Queen Mary 2, the flagship of Cunard, remains the only purpose-built ocean liner still actively operating. Known for her iconic transatlantic crossings between Southampton and New York, she is on an ambitious global itinerary that includes over 30 destinations across various continents. The cruise offers several overnight stays, allowing guests to enjoy extended visits to major cities, including Singapore.
During her overnight stay on March 27th, a fabulous gala was hosted at the Roselle–Simpor Ballroom at Marina Bay Sands, attended by over 900 guests who are sailing the full world journey. This formal event was one of the special gatherings set for passengers completing their circumnavigation.
Before her arrival in Singapore, Queen Mary 2 achieved several significant milestones during the voyage. Notably, in January, she made her first passage through the newly expanded Panama Canal, and she also returned to Los Angeles after a 17-year absence. This voyage also marked a historic reunion with the RMS Queen Mary, the two ships meeting for the first time in twenty years.
Following the Singapore stop, the Queen Mary 2 is set to embark on a 57-night segment back to Southampton. This phase includes a 16-night journey to Durban and Cape Town, with stops at Port Klang and Port Louis along the way. After an overnight in Cape Town, she will sail along the Atlantic coast, visiting Walvis Bay, Dakar, Tenerife, and Cádiz, before returning to her regular transatlantic sailings later in the year.
