China’s Adora Flora City: Second Domestically Built Large Cruise Ship Set for Early Delivery
Adora Cruises, in collaboration with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company, has announced that the delivery of the Adora Flora City, China’s second domestically produced large cruise ship, will take place on November 6, 2026—almost two months ahead of schedule. Following its delivery, the ship will embark on its inaugural voyage from the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port, primarily serving international routes.
The construction progress has surpassed expectations, with all key milestones met ahead of time. On March 20, the Adora Flora City was successfully floated out of dry dock at the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard and is currently in the quay commissioning phase. As of the latest report, the project is about 96% complete, with the interior works at 87% and commissioning at 76%. Sea trials are scheduled for mid-May.
The Adora Flora City spans 341 meters and has a gross tonnage of 141,900. The ship will have 2,130 cabins and luxury suites, accommodating up to 5,232 guests. Its facilities promise a diverse range of experiences, featuring 28 unique restaurants and bars, a grand theater with a thousand seats, a shopping mall, an art gallery, fitness center, spa, and children’s club, catering to guests of all ages.
