Seabourn Launches 2028–29 Expedition Voyages: Now Available for Booking!
Seabourn has announced that its 2028–29 expedition voyages aboard the Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit are now available for booking. The cruise line will feature 49 departures, with voyages ranging from eight to an extensive 96 days, covering over 180 destinations in 29 countries.
Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn, emphasized the company’s commitment to offering deep, meaningful exploration of remote regions as they approach their 40th anniversary. The highlight of the season is the second Grand Expedition: Pole to Pole, scheduled to sail on August 17, 2028. Travelers can choose between two options for this journey: a full 96-day voyage or an 82-day option that starts later. This route will take passengers from Reykjavik to Ushuaia, traversing over 20,500 nautical miles and 147 degrees of latitude, encompassing areas from the High Arctic to Antarctica. Along the way, guests will spend five days in Antarctica, visit South Georgia and the Falkland Islands, and experience a wealth of other expedition activities.
During the months from April to September 2028, the expedition ships will explore the Arctic, offering a variety of itineraries that span Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland, and the Northwest Passage. The Seabourn Venture will focus on the Northwest Passage, while the Seabourn Pursuit will return to Svalbard.
New itineraries include:
- A 12-day excursion to Iceland & the Faroe Islands
- An 18-day journey from Greenland to Newfoundland
- A 15-day exploration of the Torngat Mountains & Labrador Coast
- A 15-day trip to the Torngat Mountains & Baffin Island
From October 2028 to March 2029, the expedition ships will return to Antarctica for journeys lasting between 10 to 25 days, visiting the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia, the Falkland Islands, and the Chilean fjords.
New offerings during this period include:
- A 23-day itinerary covering the Juan Fernández Islands, Chilean Fjords, and Antarctica
- Expanded wildlife viewing opportunities in South Georgia
- New combined routes exploring both the Antarctic Peninsula and Sub-Antarctic regions
- Increased chances for multi-day landings, depending on conditions
- More focused expedition days featuring glaciers in the Chilean fjords
- Enhanced programming for wildlife interpretation and photography
