Crystal Cruises is launching “Boot Walk at Sea,” a summer fundraising series in partnership with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This initiative is a nod to the Center’s Boot Walk to End Cancer, which celebrates its 11th year this November.
Starting on May 9, 2026, aboard the Crystal Symphony, and June 2, 2026, on the Crystal Serenity, the Boot Walk will span wellness-focused sailings until the end of August. Cristina Levis, CEO of Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group (AKTG), emphasized the event’s aim to create meaningful personal connections while advocating for cancer awareness and research.
On one occasion per sailing, guests will be invited to participate in a promenade walk along deck 7, fostering a sense of community and purpose in support of cancer research. Participants can make donations for each lap walked, directly contributing to the James P. Allison Institute at UT MD Anderson, which focuses on making immunotherapy treatments accessible to all cancer patients based on the work of Nobel Laureate James P. Allison, Ph.D.
