Seville Cruise Port recently celebrated a significant milestone with the “bow-to-bow” berthing of two luxury vessels, the Scenic Eclipse I and Scenic Eclipse II, on May 9 and 10. According to Beatrice Rasmini, the general manager of the port, this event highlighted Seville’s potential to handle complex, high-profile calls while maintaining the high-quality service that ultra-luxury lines expect.
Fleet Captain Erwan Le Rouzic expressed pride in witnessing the simultaneous docking of both yachts in Seville, referring to it as a symbolic moment for Scenic. The occasion was particularly special due to Seville’s rich history and beauty, enhancing the experience for guests and crew alike. Le Rouzic also thanked the Port of Seville for their partnership in making this memorable event possible.
This docking marks a key moment in the 2026 cruise season, which anticipates nearly 90 cruise ship arrivals. The season commenced in February with the arrival of Azamara Cruises’ Journey.
Furthermore, the port plans to undergo a modernization process through a €5 million investment by Global Ports Holding Limited (GPH) and Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM), who recently secured a 25-year concession agreement for its operation.
