VidantaWorld Voyages Unveils Exciting 2027 Deployment Plans

VidantaWorld Voyages has unveiled the deployment details for its inaugural ship, the VidantaWorld’s Elegant, set for 2027. The 216-passenger vessel is designed to provide unique itineraries in the Mediterranean, including a special cruise that coincides with a total solar eclipse.

On this memorable cruise, guests will have the opportunity to observe the eclipse while sailing between Kalamata and Chania in Greece during a seven-night journey starting from Athens in August 2027. Additional highlights for the season include a stop in Cannes, France, on May 12, 2027, aligning with the famous Cannes Film Festival.

Ivan Chavez, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta, stated, “We designed the 2027 itineraries around time; having more of it in the places that matter most.” He emphasized the importance of creating experiences centered around key moments, such as the eclipse and the vibrant atmosphere of the film festival.

To enhance the experience, all itineraries will prioritize extended stays, late departures, and overnight calls, allowing guests ample time to enjoy destinations like Mykonos, Santorini, and Monte Carlo. The Elegant will also provide a tender-on-demand service, giving passengers flexibility to explore at their leisure.

Chavez noted, “We want to show the Mediterranean at night, not just during the day,” highlighting the beauty of European sunsets that guests should not miss.

The Elegant’s season will commence in April, featuring spring cruises across the Mediterranean, followed by summer voyages to iconic Italian ports such as Capri and the Amalfi Coast, and later, trips to the Greek Islands and the Adriatic, including stops in Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. The Mediterranean season will conclude in September with additional itineraries covering Spain, France, and Italy.

Reservations for the 2027 Mediterranean program are now open, with strong early interest anticipated, particularly for the solar eclipse and Cannes festival sailings.

Before its debut earlier this year, the VidantaWorld’s Elegant underwent significant renovations, reducing its guest capacity from 600 to 216. This change aims to create a more intimate, yacht-like experience with a focus on personal service and generous space. Chavez remarked, “Our goal was to rethink what luxury at sea should feel like,” explaining that true luxury is about providing space and personalized service rather than merely increasing guest numbers.
