Princess Cruises has announced the launch of its largest European programme to date for the 2028 season, featuring an impressive 291 departures across 150 unique itineraries. This extensive operation will see six ships sailing both Northern Europe and the Mediterranean, departing from 13 different embarkation ports. Cruises range from 7 to 53 nights in length, including 32 late-night departures and overnight stays to offer travelers more time in port.
Newly featured ports for this season include Galway and Killybegs in Ireland, and there will be 25 Grand Adventure sailings catering to travelers interested in transatlantic crossings combined with open-jaw itineraries.
A highlight of the 2028 collection is the 53-night ‘Pole to Pole Odyssey,’ which sets sail from Buenos Aires on January 4, 2028, and concludes in Southampton. This remarkable itinerary includes scenic views of the Antarctic Peninsula, as well as stops at the Falkland Islands, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Casablanca, and La Coruña. The journey continues north to Norway, featuring an overnight stay in Tromsø, and calls at Alta, Trondheim, Ålesund, Bergen, and Stavanger.
Southampton will serve as a major hub with 41 itineraries scheduled from April to October 2028. The Sky Princess and Majestic Princess will be homeporting there, operating cruises to Northern Europe, the British Isles, and the Mediterranean, while the Caribbean Princess adds 19 open-jaw sailings from the same port. Among short trips, a 7-night Spain & France itinerary will depart aboard Sky Princess on October 7, 2028, visiting La Coruña, Bilbao, Le Verdon, and Cherbourg.
To incentivize early bookings, Princess Cruises offers discounts of up to £800 per stateroom, priority dining reservation access, and complimentary upgrades on stateroom locations for reservations made by July 14. This ambitious 2028 programme is designed to enhance itinerary variety for guests and travel agents while providing opportunities for deeper destination immersion with numerous overnight and late-night port calls. It aims to meet growing demand for premium, destination-focused vacations that blend extensive regional exploration with high-quality onboard experiences.
