American Cruise Lines’ ship, the American Patriot, made its inaugural visit to Milwaukee on June 24, 2026. The 130-passenger vessel arrived at Pier Wisconsin at 8 a.m. and is set to depart the next day at 2 p.m. Mayor Cavalier Johnson welcomed the cruise line, marking the beginning of its inaugural Great Lakes itineraries.
Milwaukee is designated as a turnaround port for two of these itineraries, with a total of eight scheduled visits throughout the season. The port’s cruise season, which kicked off on April 23 and runs through the end of October, is anticipated to set records, with traffic expected to nearly triple this year. More than 20,000 passengers are projected to visit the city, resulting in 63 cruise ship calls across eight different vessels.
