MSC Cruises has begun sales for its 2028 Alaska season, with the MSC Poesia scheduled to return to Seattle for the third consecutive year. Following a successful inaugural season that started on May 11, 2026, and a second season in 2027, the third season will commence on April 24, 2028, featuring weekly seven-night cruises until September 18, 2028.
Cruise itineraries will highlight popular destinations such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, and Juneau in Alaska, complemented by a stop in Victoria, British Columbia. Lynn Torrent, president of MSC Cruises North America, expressed excitement about the upcoming season, emphasizing Alaska’s appeal to travelers due to its breathtaking scenery, wildlife, and adventure opportunities, paired with MSC’s blend of European style and American comfort.
The MSC Poesia has recently undergone significant refurbishment, which now includes the introduction of the MSC Yacht Club, the cruise line’s "ship-within-a-ship" concept. Additionally, the 2028 Alaska sailings are part of MSC’s broader North American deployment that also includes departures from Miami, Port Canaveral, Galveston, and La Romana.
