Disney Cruise Line (DCL) has unveiled more details about its forthcoming ship, Disney Believe, which is set to join the fleet in the fourth quarter of 2027. This vessel marks the fourth addition to the WISH-class fleet, continuing DCL’s tradition of intertwining cruise experiences with unique storytelling rooted in Disney themes.
Disney Believe’s design will focus on the concepts of promise and possibility. Notable features include a Grand Hall inspired by the popular film Moana, while iconic characters such as Tinker Bell from Peter Pan will adorn the bow. The ship’s stern will showcase beloved characters from Toy Story, like Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Additionally, Disney Believe will celebrate a wide array of stories and characters across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars universes.
In conjunction with the launch of this ship, DCL is also expanding its fleet. Future plans include an entirely new class of ships that will debut starting in 2029. These upcoming vessels will be designed to be larger than the classic ships but smaller than the more recent WISH-class vessels, and this expansion is part of a broad initiative aimed at increasing the fleet to a total of 13 ships over the coming years.
Accompanying DCL’s announcements were updates regarding various projects within Disney’s theme parks. Notable developments include a new Lion King-themed attraction at Disneyland Paris, new offerings at Walt Disney World in Florida, including a Villains Land and expanded areas based on the Cars franchise. Added attractions are also planned for Animal Kingdom and EPCOT, indicating a significant investment in future park experiences.
The highlight for DCL remains the upcoming Disney Believe, which is set to enhance the WISH-class series before the fleet welcomes the new generation of smaller vessels in 2029.
