Cordelia Cruises is set to launch its inaugural season for the Cordelia Sky ship from Mumbai on October 23, 2026. This ship, previously known as Norwegian Sky and built in 1999, aims to enhance Cordelia’s presence in the Indian market with various itineraries, including short domestic cruises and longer voyages to Southeast Asia.
Initially, Cordelia Sky will offer 2- to 5-night roundtrips from Mumbai, with destinations including Goa and the Lakshadweep Islands. For those seeking longer journeys, 7-night Southeast Asia cruises will depart from Chennai, venturing to Phuket, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, with reciprocal itineraries planned from Singapore back to Chennai.
This launch marks an increase in capacity for the company ahead of the introduction of another ship, the Norwegian Sun, in 2027.
Cordelia Sky features 1,002 staterooms that cater to various guest preferences, including 429 interior and 313 ocean-view staterooms, along with mini-suites and luxurious penthouse suites. Notably, the Chairman’s Suites include private balconies complete with hot tubs, along with premium butler and concierge services.
Dining options aboard the ship are diverse, with 10 venues providing a mix of regional Indian cuisine, sushi, Italian dishes, vegetarian choices, and buffet dining.
Entertainment will primarily take place in the 930-seat Marquee Theatre, offering main production shows, variety performances, and live music throughout the ship. Additional recreational amenities include pickleball and cricket areas, a pool deck with two swimming pools and five hot tubs, and ample deck space totaling over 30,000 square feet.
Other facilities comprise 11 bars and lounges, a fitness center, a spa, and tailored areas for children and teens, with supervised activities available for younger guests. This comprehensive offering is designed to make Cordelia Sky a sought-after choice for cruise enthusiasts in India and beyond.
