Silversea has made significant changes to its suite offerings by reorganizing its 17 suite types into four primary categories: Oceanview, Veranda, Residence, and Villa. This restructuring is part of an update to their accommodation program aimed at enhancing the guest experience. The new categorization will apply to sailings starting on January 1, 2027, with bookings opening on September 16, 2026.
The Oceanview category consists of Panorama and Vista suites, characterized by their large windows and ocean views. The Veranda category features Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda, and Veranda suites, all equipped with private balconies.
The Residence category includes Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Premium Medallion, and Medallion suites, designed with separate bedroom and living areas. The Villa category, representing the largest accommodations, encompasses Otium, Master, Owner’s, Grand, and Royal suites, providing spacious living areas and extensive terraces.
While maintaining Silversea’s established suite benefits such as butler service, 24-hour in-suite dining, Wi-Fi, and multiple dining options, the new structure introduces additional perks for guests in Residences and Villas. For Residence guests, these include priority embarkation, earlier access to reservations, and booking options for spa appointments and dining.
Villa guests will enjoy all Residence benefits, plus extras like private transfers for those booking airfare through Silversea, early suite access, and a welcome escort. They will also receive exclusive consultations with the ship’s chef, head sommelier, and spa manager to enhance their dining and wellness experience.
Additional experiences for Villa guests comprise chef-selected in-suite dining, afternoon tea, stargazing with Champagne and caviar, in-suite cocktail celebrations, and cigar-and-whiskey pairings. Wellness amenities in each Villa suite will feature a Technogym exercise bag.
Villa guests will gain priority access to Destination Experts for travel planning and, on selected Classic Voyages, will benefit from extended access to onboard facilities on debarkation day.
For Expedition Voyages, Villa guests will have unique benefits such as Flexible Zodiac Departure preferences and priority access to kayaking sessions, along with opportunities for behind-the-scenes experiences focusing on expedition operations.
Silversea President Bert Hernandez noted that these revised categories emphasize the line’s commitment to intimate vessels and personalized service. He highlighted earlier access to reservations and consultations with culinary and beverage experts as critical improvements in guest service.
The new benefits will be implemented across Silversea’s Classic and Expedition fleets starting January 1, 2027.
