The itinerary of the Carnival Panorama has undergone a second adjustment due to a series of hurricanes impacting the Pacific region. After departing from Long Beach on September 26, 2026, the cruise was set to take guests on an eight-night journey to the Mexican Riviera.
Initially, changes were made to the cruise plans due to Hurricane Polo, which forced the cancellation of visits to two scheduled destinations. The situation worsened with Hurricane Rachel, leading to further cancellations of most planned port visits.
Guests onboard reported that the altered itinerary included an additional stop in Ensenada before the return to Long Beach on October 4, 2026. The original plans included stops at Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán, which were replaced by a visit to Ensenada on September 28.
Despite initially retaining stops in La Paz and Mazatlán, these too were ultimately canceled following the impact of Hurricane Rachel. A crew member communicated the updated plans to guests through the ship’s public address system, announcing that a second visit to Ensenada had been scheduled.
Acknowledging guests’ disappointment over the changes, the officer emphasized that safety was the primary concern and reiterated Carnival’s commitment to passengers’ comfort. To express gratitude for their understanding, Carnival offered a $300 onboard credit per stateroom as a goodwill gesture, aiming to enhance the remaining cruise experience.
