MarineXchange (MXP) has entered into a definitive agreement to join Deep Wave Maritime Technologies Group, which comprises a range of maritime software companies supported by True Wind Capital from San Francisco. As part of this deal, MXP will maintain its operational brand while expanding its service offerings to customers, including enhanced data analytics, AI initiatives, and project management services.
Hannes Lindthaler, the founder of MXP, will become a co-managing director and shareholder at Deep Wave upon the deal’s completion. He expressed confidence in this step, highlighting MXP’s established reputation as a reliable technology partner in the global cruise industry. Lindthaler emphasized the alignment with Deep Wave in terms of long-term goals and customer commitment, assuring that he remains dedicated to driving MXP’s growth and innovation.
The leadership team at MXP will remain unchanged, with Michael Eder as CEO, Mathias Klein as CFO, and Philipp Grasmug as CTO. Eder indicated that although the company is joining the Deep Wave Group, the focus on cruise industry clients and high-quality service remains unchanged. The partnership is viewed positively by Deep Wave’s chairman, Mark Rogerson, who appreciates MXP’s robust customer relationships and technical expertise.
The transition is still pending standard regulatory approvals before it can be finalized.
