A Carnival cruise ship, the Carnival Radiance, has recently resumed operations after a 15-day dry dock period at Seaspan shipyard in Victoria, Canada. This ship returned to service on October 3, 2026, embarking on an eight-night cruise to the Mexican Riviera from Long Beach, California.
During its time in dry dock, the Carnival Radiance underwent routine maintenance and received a new bow crest featuring the line’s "From Sea to Shining Sea" branding. The enhancements also included a revamped Effy jewelry boutique and refreshed guest areas throughout the ship.
Notably, the timing of this dry dock was shorter than usual because the ship had previously undergone significant renovations to transition from Carnival Victory to Carnival Radiance in 2021, which added new cabins and dining options.
Currently, Carnival Radiance is scheduled for cruises from Long Beach mainly to Mexico, operating through at least April 2029. These updates and improvements aim to enhance the guest experience as the cruise line continues to refresh its fleet.
