Riviera Travel River Cruises says its North American business is on track to grow by more than 100 percent year over year for a second consecutive year. By September 2026, bookings were up 92 percent compared with the same period in 2025.
The company said solo travel and group bookings are contributing to the rise. Solo bookings have more than doubled year over year, while demand for solo departures is up 80 percent from 2025. Group sales are its fastest-growing segment, supported in part by a promotion allowing the eighth guest to sail free.
Bookings on Riviera’s Rhine and Moselle itineraries have increased 200 percent year over year. The Mekong itinerary, introduced last year, is up 300 percent.
Riviera also reported growing engagement among North American travel advisors. By September, more than 3,000 advisors had enrolled in its Riviera Explorer training program. Over the past year, they completed more than 55,000 training modules, and more than 600 advisors graduated.
For 2027, the company plans to convert the George Eliot into a dedicated solo river cruise ship and expand its Southeast Asian offerings with a Vietnam, Cambodia and Mekong River itinerary. Riviera has also opened sales for 2028 and introduced its Riviera Moment collection, featuring new experiences aimed at North American travelers.
