Norwegian Cruise Line will reveal details of the final ship in its Prima-class series on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The announcement is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Eastern time.
The company described the vessel as the “grand finale” of the class, saying it was designed with passengers in mind.
The sixth and last Prima-class ship is due for delivery from Fincantieri in 2028. Like Norwegian Aura, it is expected to measure about 170,000 gross tons and accommodate 3,880 guests at double occupancy.
The series began with Norwegian Prima in 2022 and also includes Norwegian Viva, Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. Norwegian Aura is scheduled to enter service in 2027. About ten percent larger than earlier ships in the class, Aura will become the largest vessel in Norwegian’s fleet.
Aura is under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard and is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2027. After operating in Europe and the Mediterranean, it will move to PortMiami in late May for seven-night Caribbean cruises.
Norwegian is also developing a new ship design with Fincantieri. The first vessel in that series, at 227,000 gross tons, is expected to debut in 2030 and rank among the world’s largest cruise ships.
