Sea Cloud Cruises President of the Americas Kevin Smith will host his first President’s Cruise aboard the Sea Cloud Spirit from July 20 to 27, 2027. The voyage marks the first anniversary of his appointment and will sail from Bilbao, Spain, to Lisbon, Portugal.
Smith and his wife, Christina, plan to join guests for dinners, evenings on deck and a special sundowner. Smith said the voyage would be an opportunity to spend time together and exchange ideas, while experiencing the teamwork involved in sailing the ship.
Ports of call include Gijón, A Coruña and Vigo in Spain, and Leixões, Portugal. Guests can explore destinations including Oviedo, Santiago de Compostela and the Islas Cíes. The cruise concludes with a scenic passage along the Tagus River into Lisbon.
A highlight is a private after-hours visit to Bilbao’s Guggenheim Museum, featuring Frank Gehry’s architecture and selected artworks. The onboard culinary program will showcase regional traditions, including Basque pintxos, Galician seafood and wines from Rías Baixas and the Douro Valley.
An optional pre-cruise program in Bilbao and Rioja is available from July 18 to 20, with details and rates provided on request. Fares for the cruise start at $7,995 per person.
