Guests booked on Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady have been told that the ship’s April 28, 2027, cruise from Miami will no longer operate as a regular passenger sailing. The four-night voyage has been reserved for a full-ship charter.
The sailing is still scheduled to depart PortMiami at 4 p.m. on April 28. Its planned itinerary includes a full day in Key West on April 29, a day at sea, and a stop in Bimini on May 1, before returning to Florida on May 2.
The cruise was due to be Resilient Lady’s final roundtrip from Miami before the ship’s 14-night transatlantic crossing to Barcelona. The vessel is scheduled to spend the summer in Europe and return to Miami in early November. Virgin Voyages has not said who booked the charter.
Options for affected guests
Virgin Voyages is offering guests three choices:
- Transfer to Valiant Lady for its May 6, 2027, four-night Miami sailing, which follows the same Key West and Bimini itinerary.
- Choose another eligible four- or five-night sailing departing in April or May 2027.
- Receive a full refund without fees or penalties.
Guests who rebook under either of the first two options will receive onboard credit, known as “Sailor Loot.” The offer is $100 per standard stateroom or $300 per suite. Their original cruise fare and booking promotions will also be protected when they transfer to an eligible sailing.
Another Virgin Voyages charter cancellation
The Resilient Lady cancellation follows a recent change involving Brilliant Lady. Its October 30, 2027, cruise was also cancelled for a private charter.
