Aurora Expeditions Unveils 2026 Program: Highlighting Solar Eclipse Voyages and Innovative Solo Cabins
Aurora Expeditions, known for its responsible small-ship exploration, has announced its 2026 Arctic and Beyond season, introducing new routes in Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, and the Atlantic Coast. This marks the company’s initial venture into these areas, including the addition of solo cabins on each cruise.
The 2026 season features 42 departures, highlighted by a solar eclipse viewing in Greenland on the “Jewels of the Arctic” journey, as well as new trips to Indonesia and Borneo. Aurora’s polar sailings continue to offer unique Arctic locations, keeping to their small group commitment with no more than 130 guests. Returning popular trips include excursions to Costa Rica and Scotland, adding a new 7-day trip around Costa Rica.
The introduction of “Small Ship Cruises” represents a new exploration style aimed at the Mediterranean, Atlantic Coast, British Isles, and Ireland. These immersive trips will include expert-led programs and encompass pre- and post-land activities, with inclusive shore excursions at each stop.
In response to rising demand from solo voyagers, Aurora Expeditions will present 10 solo cabins per voyage, available without a solo supplement in a selection of cabin classes starting from the 2026 season.
