Uniworld Launches Its First Women-Only River Cruise on the SS Catherine in France (2025)

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is poised to launch its inaugural women-only journey (full ship charter) in 2025, traversing the famous Burgundy and Provence areas of southern France.

The 8-day voyage, set to embark on the SS Catherine ship starting August 25th, will guide travelers along the Rhone and Saone rivers, providing deep dives into local customs and culinary heritage. Experiences include truffle hunting, wine tastings, and visits to charming villages that once motivated artists like Van Gogh and Cezanne. Off the ship, guests can partake in bike rides, lavender weaving, and distinctive events including burlesque sessions.

Designed by a group of women, this cruise promises a unique experience, with rates beginning at US$4,999 per person.

This 7-day itinerary starts in Arles and concludes in Lyon. More information regarding special guests, themed celebrations, and brand collaborations will be revealed.

Uniworld’s 2025 offerings also feature additional themed voyages, such as the “Music of the Danube,” which includes a yodeling workshop and a “Sound of Music” tour in Salzburg.
