Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Launches Exciting New Booking Incentive!

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched a new booking incentive called the Freedom Fare Price Promise, designed to encourage guests to book their cruises early and maximize value. According to a press release, this innovative promise guarantees that guests who book a Freedom Fare within the first four weeks after a cruise is announced will either receive a cabin upgrade or onboard credit should a comparable cabin price drop later.

This initiative, aimed at addressing customer uncertainty around booking timings, allows guests to select their cabin grade, cabin number, dining preferences, and table size. The Freedom Fare Price Promise will first apply to summer 2026 itineraries, which feature three cruises during the solar eclipse in August 2026, as well as travel to Iceland, Norway, and the British Isles.

Geoff Ridgeon, head of sales at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, emphasized the importance of this program for customers, saying, “Feedback told us that our guests weren’t sure when the best time to book was to get the best value… there really is no better time to book than in those first four weeks.”

Martin Lister, head of product innovation, highlighted the unique allure of the upcoming summer 2026 itineraries, particularly the special sailings during the total solar eclipse. Guests will have the opportunity to experience captivating sights including whales, waterfalls, and geysers in Iceland, while those aboard Borealis will enjoy exploring historic towns in Spain alongside witnessing the eclipse.

The notable highlights of the summer 2026 program include:

• Borealis: 14-night "Enchanting Landmarks of the Baltic" cruise, departing from Southampton on June 4, 2026.
• Bolette: 14-night "River Cities of France, Spain and Portugal" cruise, departing from Liverpool on June 20, 2026.
• Balmoral: 12-night "Wonders of Iceland with the Solar Eclipse" cruise, departing from Rosyth on August 6, 2026.
• Bolette: 11-night "Wonders of Iceland with the Solar Eclipse" cruise, departing from Liverpool on August 7, 2026.
