MOL Group Unveils Mitsui Ocean Fuji: A Key Element of the BLUE ACTION 2035 Vision

MOL Group has officially launched its latest cruise ship, the Mitsui Ocean Fuji, as part of its BLUE ACTION 2035 vision. This new vessel, which began its service on December 1st, offers a luxury cruise experience focused on Japan’s stunning coastal regions.

Notably, the Mitsui Ocean Fuji is Japan’s first cruise ship equipped exclusively with suite cabins. Its inaugural season will feature five special "Debut Cruise" packages and a unique New Year’s voyage that extends through January 2025. Destinations for these itineraries will include cities and scenic spots such as Yokohama, Kobe, Nagoya, Beppu, Shimonoseki, Kagoshima, Nagasaki, and Hiroshima.

The launch of this ship is a vital element of MOL Group’s BLUE ACTION 2035 strategy, which aims to diversify into non-shipping sectors to ensure stable profitability amid fluctuating market conditions. To support this, MOL Cruises is planning to expand its fleet with more vessels to enhance corporate value.

Two dedicated websites have also been established to provide detailed information about cruise schedules, accommodations, dining, amenities, and frequently asked questions, ensuring a smooth experience for passengers.

The Mitsui Ocean Fuji represents a significant step forward for MOL Group in delivering refined maritime experiences while promoting sustainable growth within the cruise industry.
