Carnival Valor to Begin Homeporting in Mobile, Alabama Starting 2027
Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) has unveiled its deployment plans for the 2027-2028 period, announcing the establishment of year-round operations in Mobile, Alabama. This initiative will complement existing sailings from Florida for its other ships.
Starting on May 15, 2027, the Carnival Valor will offer 6- to 8-day voyages from Mobile, with destinations including The Bahamas, RelaxAway/Half Moon Cay, and Celebration Key. Prior to this, the ship will complete its final cruises from New Orleans, with a 5-day sailing on May 1, followed by two 4-day trips to Mexico on May 6 and May 10.
This marks a significant milestone as it will be the first time a Conquest-class vessel operates out of Mobile, thereby expanding regional capacity. The Carnival Valor will also feature two special 14-day "Carnival Journeys" sailings, one set for September 26, 2027, traversing Caribbean and Panama ports, and another on January 16, 2028, directed towards the Southern Caribbean. Additionally, a unique 7-day Thanksgiving cruise is scheduled to depart on November 20, 2027, visiting Key West, Nassau, and Celebration Key.
In the lead-up to the Carnival Valor’s deployment, seasonal service will be maintained in Mobile through the Carnival Spirit from October 2026 to April 2027. The company’s operations in Florida will continue, with the Carnival Glory sailing short cruises from Port Canaveral to The Bahamas, and operating from Miami with 3- to 5-day itineraries along with two extended Caribbean journeys in November.
