Celebrity Beyond Adjusts Caribbean Itineraries Amid Reduced Cruising Speed
Celebrity Cruises announced adjustments to the Caribbean itineraries for the Celebrity Beyond ship due to ongoing speed limitations following a maintenance period. After a cancellation of a sailing on July 20th, the ship underwent repairs at a shipyard in Freeport, Bahamas, and resumed service from Miami on July 27th.
Despite these repairs, speed issues remain, prompting the cruise line to amend future port schedules to ensure operational reliability and guest safety. Passengers aboard the Celebrity Beyond in August, September, and October 2025 have been notified of the revised port call dates for both Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages.
For instance, the itinerary for September 7th has been updated to include a visit to Falmouth, Jamaica, from 08:00 to 16:00 on Wednesday and Cozumel, Mexico, from 11:00 to 19:30 on Friday. Additionally, the port call in George Town, Grand Cayman, has new hours from 07:00 to 16:00. Shore excursions purchased in advance will be automatically rescheduled to align with the new timings.
In communications to guests, Celebrity Cruises stated these changes were necessary to provide a smooth and safe sailing experience while preserving the integrity of the itinerary. The next major dry dock for Celebrity Beyond is planned for November 2026, its first since launching in spring 2022, during which time the vessel will not be in passenger service from November 1 to 17, 2026, for maintenance purposes.
