Utopia of the Seas Sets Sail: Inaugural Cruise to Cozumel!

Royal Caribbean International’s Utopia of the Seas kicked off its inaugural cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, on May 5, 2025. This cruise marks a significant expansion for the vessel, which has primarily been operating short trips to the Bahamas since its debut in 2024.

The Utopia of the Seas set sail from Port Canaveral and arrived in Cozumel two days later. The itinerary included two sea days before returning to its homeport on May 9, 2025. Notably, the ship is not scheduled to return to the Western Caribbean for the rest of the year.

Moving forward, Utopia of the Seas will continue its regular schedule of three- and four-night cruises to Nassau and Royal Caribbean’s private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay. The ship is also set to introduce a new four-night cruise to Labadee, another of Royal Caribbean’s private destinations in the Caribbean, in mid-2026.

In a significant development, the ship will embark on its first weeklong cruise in late December 2026, which will include a visit to Charlotte Amalie in St. Thomas and Philipsburg in St. Maarten, alongside another stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay, culminating with a Christmas celebration on board.

The Utopia of the Seas is the sixth ship in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis-class fleet, built at the Chantiers de L’Atlantique shipyard in France. As it continues to adapt and expand its offerings, Royal Caribbean plans to introduce another Oasis-class ship in 2028.
