Allure of the Seas: Latest Updates and Exciting News
(August 6, 2024) — Allure of the Seas is getting a massive makeover.
Royal Caribbean announced today that the 5,492-passenger ship will undergo a transformation worth more than $100 million, adding venues and attractions present on other fellow Oasis-class ships, and revamping other public areas.
“From the new Icon and Utopia of the Seas to now the more than $100 million transformation of Allure of the Seas, we’ve upped the ante threefold on the different ways vacationers can get away and make memories with Royal Caribbean,” said Jay Schneider, Royal Caribbean’s chief product innovation officer. “Allure will be reimagined with the best of Royal Caribbean and what travelers love.”
Allure of the Seas will also boast new thrills, like The Perfect Storm trio of waterslides; the Ultimate Abyss dryslide; a glow-in-the-dark laser tag arena in Studio B; a new Royal Escape Room with a lunar theme; and Splashaway Bay aqua park for tots and tweens. Adventure Ocean kids club and the teen space Social298 will also feature new layouts and activities.
Allure of the Seas debuted in 2010, as Royal Caribbean’s second Oasis-class ship. Upon completion of its summer 2025 season in Europe, the ship will return to Fort Lauderdale, offering six- to eight-night voyages to the Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas.
