Search Efforts Intensify After 66-Year-Old Woman Falls Overboard from Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas

A 66-year-old woman has reportedly gone overboard from the RCI-Royal Caribbean cruise ship Allure of the Seas during a trip in the Bahamas.

The incident took place at around 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22nd, approximately 17 miles (27 km) from Nassau Bahamas. Authorities, including the US Coast Guard and the Royal Bahamas Defense Force, were alerted and initiated a search operation.

An HC-144 airplane crew and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from the Coast Guard were dispatched to aid in the search efforts.

As of Wednesday morning, the search for the woman was still ongoing.

At the time, Allure OTS was hosting a themed cruise organized by fans of Swift, dubbed “In My Cruise Era,” which had set sail from Miami on Monday. The cruise featured fan events like karaoke, trivia, and themed nights inspired by Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

It is still unclear if the missing woman was part of this particular group.
