Celebrity Equinox Begins Homeporting in Port Canaveral: What You Need to Know!

Celebrity Cruises has announced that the Celebrity Equinox will begin its homeporting operations at Port Canaveral (Orlando, Florida) starting December 2024. This marks the first time the cruise line will operate from this popular port.

The Celebrity Equinox is set to offer 20 new itineraries between December 3, 2024, and April 19, 2025. Most of these voyages will span seven nights and will take passengers to sought-after Caribbean destinations such as the Bahamas (Bimini, Nassau), Belize, Grand Cayman, Mexico (Cozumel, Costa Maya), San Juan, Puerto Plata, and St. Maarten.

Additionally, the cruise line will feature special Spring Break sailings on March 1 and March 15, which will include a stop at Royal Caribbean’s private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Originally launched in 2009, the Celebrity Equinox underwent extensive refurbishment in 2019 and further updates earlier this year. As a Solstice-Class vessel, it offers a midsize cruising experience with amenities like the Martini Bar, Cafe al Bacio, and the World Class Bar, and features various dining options, including the upscale French restaurant Murano and Italian steakhouse Tuscan Grill.

The ship can accommodate around 3,000 passengers, balancing vibrant activities with an intimate cruising atmosphere. Captain John Murray, the CEO of Port Canaveral, expressed excitement over this new partnership, noting the growing demand for Celebrity Cruises from the port.
