Uniworld’s Iconic India Tour: Premiering on TV Screens This January!
Uniworld’s latest India itinerary will be showcased in the inaugural episodes of Channel 5’s series, Susan Calman’s Cruise of a Lifetime, airing in 2025. This itinerary, titled "The Golden Triangle and Sacred Ganges," includes a land tour from New Delhi to Agra and Jaipur, blended with a 7-night cruise on the RV Ganges Voyager II.
The show, featuring comedian Susan Calman as the host, will premiere on January 3rd at 9:00 p.m., with the second episode set for January 10th. Viewers can expect to see various experiences from the itinerary such as a pedal-powered rickshaw ride in Old Delhi, a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, block-printing lessons in Jaipur, and explorations of temples and palaces along the Ganges, highlighting the vibrant life along the riverbanks.
To align with the series, Uniworld has launched a dedicated brochure for India and is offering a special promotion for the 15-day tour at £6,239 per person, available for tours departing January 1st, 2026.
Chris Townson, managing director for Uniworld in the UK and Europe, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Susan Calman and the production team, recognizing the significant role of television in enhancing awareness and increasing interest in the tour. He anticipates a boost in bookings after the episodes air and encourages travel agents to tune in to gain insights into what he describes as a "bucket list" trip—the "cruise of a lifetime.
