Resorts World Cruises’ New Ship: Star Scorpio Set to Rebrand as Star Voyager
Resorts World Cruises has revealed plans to rebrand its third vessel, previously known as Star Scorpio and Pacific Explorer, as the Star Voyager. This rebranding will take effect as the ship commences its revenue operations on March 26, 2025.
The Star Voyager will predominantly sail in Southeast Asia until July 21, 2025, with Singapore designated as its main homeport. Additionally, the ship will have dual homeports in Jakarta, Malacca, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City, giving travelers the option to embark from these key cities during certain sailings, coinciding with local school holidays. Popular destinations on the itinerary include Medan, Pulau Redang, and Koh Samui.
From the Singapore Cruise Centre Terminal, Star Voyager plans to operate several cruises. This includes 10 roundtrip cruises between Malacca and Jakarta available from March 26 to April 15 and June 11 to July 1, showcasing 6-day/5-night itineraries. The ship will also offer 5 roundtrip cruises between Bangkok and Koh Samui, as well as shorter cruises from Koh Samui to Pulau Redang.
In Jakarta, cruises will launch from Tanjong Priok Port with two cruising windows from March 29 to April 13 and June 14 to 29, 2025. The ship’s schedule also includes four roundtrip cruises from Bangkok during Thailand’s school holidays, as well as roundtrip cruises from Malacca to Medan and Ho Chi Minh City.
As a highlight of her Southeast Asia engagements, Star Voyager will become the first international cruise ship to establish Ho Chi Minh City as a homeport starting July 9, 2025, with roundtrip cruises continuing from Singapore.
