Azamara Cruises Enhances Destination Immersion with Exciting New Onboard and Shore Programs

Azamara Cruises, renowned for its immersive travel experiences, has announced the launch of Destination Immersion Elevated, a program designed to enhance its offerings for travelers. This initiative focuses on providing deeper connections to the destinations through an expanded range of activities, authentic local dining, cultural interactions, and enhanced shore excursions.

Key highlights of the revamped offerings include a significant increase in specialty voyages, from six to 22, with notable mentions being three Solar Eclipse cruises planned for 2026. The upcoming 2025-2026 itinerary will feature 33 Country-Intensive voyages and add 25 new ports of call. Notably, travelers can expect extended shore time, with over half of the port stops allowing for late-night or overnight stays, fostering a more enriching travel experience.

Onboard improvements will include:

• Destination Events: For voyages of 9 nights or longer, guests can enjoy alfresco dining on the pool deck, featuring regional culinary experiences and local entertainment, including traditional music and cultural performances.
• Daily Destination Entrées: An expansion of the Authentic Local Cuisine Program will introduce over 150 new dishes inspired by local ingredients across main dining venues. During the 2025 European voyages, meals curated by expert chefs from various countries will showcase multi-course specialties reflective of each destination.
• Stories Under the Stars: A new event on the pool deck will invite one of over 250 Destination Speakers to share folklore and myths about the visited regions, paired with themed desserts and beverages.
• New Beverage Offerings: The premium beverage package will include 21 Destination Beers, providing guests an opportunity to sample regional brews from locations such as Australia and the Caribbean.

Beyond enhancements aboard the ships, Azamara will expand its shore experience offerings, presenting more than 13,500 Elevated Excursions for the 2025-2026 season. This will include 246 evening and overnight tours that can be booked up to 18 months in advance, aimed at creating deeper connections with the cultural essence of each destination.

The cruise line will also introduce the Curator’s Collection, featuring unique local experiences orchestrated by residents, ensuring guests have unparalleled access to the authentic heart of each port of call.
