Azamara Cruises Enhances Destination Immersion with Exciting New Onboard and Shore Programs

Azamara Cruises is enhancing its renowned Destination Immersion experiences with a new initiative called Destination Immersion Elevated. This program focuses on deepening the experiences guests have while exploring port destinations, emphasizing authentic local cuisine, cultural interaction, and enriched excursions.

In a significant expansion, Azamara will increase its specialty voyages from 6 to 22, which will include three Solar Eclipse cruises in 2026. The upcoming 2025-2026 itinerary will feature 33 Country-Intensive voyages and introduce 25 new ports of call. Notably, 51% of port visits will offer extended time ashore, allowing travelers to experience destinations on a deeper level.

Key onboard enhancements include:

• Destination Events: For voyages lasting 9 nights or longer, the pool deck will transform into an alfresco dining space that showcases regional specialties alongside live local entertainment.
• Daily Destination Entrées: The Authentic Local Cuisine Program will expand to include over 150 new dishes inspired by the locales visited. For European journeys in 2025, menus crafted by chefs from countries like Croatia, France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain will highlight each destination’s culinary traditions.
• Stories Under the Stars: This engaging event features one of over 250 Destination Speakers sharing folklore and myths from the regions visited, complemented by themed desserts and beverages.
• New Beverage Offerings: The premium beverage package will now feature 21 Destination Beers, allowing guests to taste local brews from areas such as Australia and the Caribbean.

On the excursion side, Azamara will provide an enhanced selection of shore experiences with more than 13,500 Elevated Excursions available for the upcoming season. Additionally, 246 evening and overnight tours will be introduced, which guests can book up to 18 months in advance, designed for a richer connection with the traditions and people of each port.

Furthermore, Azamara will launch the Curator’s Collection, a series of unique experiences led by locals that allow travelers unparalleled access to the essence of each destination.

Lastly, Destination Immersion Elevated will introduce 34 new AzAmazing Evenings, the most in Azamara’s history. These experiences are designed to be intimate and authentic, providing guests access to memorable moments that go beyond typical travel encounters.
